Happy Easter!!

This Easter would have to be one of my favorites. I was so emotional all weekend in anticipation of a wonderful day. I love my Savior! The night before Easter and before our family prayer I asked Sadie if she would say it. I asked her if she would pray that we could think about Jesus tomorrow and that we could be thankful for his resurrection. I then simply told Chase Marriner, and Sadie about how Jesus died and after three days he rose again. I had tears in my eyes as I spoke this simple, yet profound doctrine. I had never before thought of it in such a way. It was truly a special moment for our family and one I will never forget. And I hope my children felt of my sincere expression of my faith in Him. Faith that has been strengthened by little moments like the one I am telling of. He truly died for US....and in that moment I felt that I was in the presence of very special, very noble, very obedient children of our Heavenly Father and I was speaking to their spirits. After my testimony Sadie said the sweetest prayer including(in her language) Jesus' resurrection. The next day was wonderful. We were able to hear such good talks in sacrament meeting and a very special report by Elder Williams. I sat by my mom and every time we'd look at each other we would get teary. Sean is a Spiritual giant....it helps he's over 6' 5"! I felt our Saviors love through him....and it was inspiring. I just felt like I needed to share this and hope to feel such joy more often. Happy Easter from us!!

Happy Halloween!

I know, I know....I'm a little late posting but here is Halloween. We attended the annual Willvie Halloween party and I wish I could have taken a picture of everyone...it was priceless. But with trick-or-treating, eating dinner, unveiling the costumes and what-not....I hardly took any pictures! It was fun to see the kids going door to door shouting the traditional "tick-or-treat". Sadie was especially cute with her little pumpkin bucket. She would have been happy just to get a few treats! You might notice Sadie had two costumes this year. And it's not because she's my only girl and dressing her up is one of the funnest things...EVER. It's because we forgot her costume when we went to Firth. We had to buy ANOTHER one at Walmart on the way there.
Sexy Pirate, Egyptian queen, and Native princess
Chase's mask was even scarier!
Velma and Shaggy
The pumpkin patch in Farmington

We made these badboys at enrichment. Pretty cute I'd say. With anything...all it takes in the right tools.
The kids had fun painting pumpkins. And the mess is even more fun to clean up!!

Andrea gave Sadie a Halloween outfit for her birthday. It's after Christmas and she STILL wants to wear it every day!

Happy Birthday Sadie!!

I cannot believe she is two! It truly seemed only yesterday she was born. Even though she had the flu, I don't think she would have skipped out on her birthday. She tried on everything she got and just added to the previous item. I love you Sadie Sue!

Our Summer in a Nutshell

I haven't blogged in awhile. It seems pictures and memories pile up with little time to sort them. Pictures truly say a thousand words and remind us of the blessings we have been given. Mine are 6, 3, and almost 2.

Anyway... Chase turned six! He had a pirate birthday party with cousins. He wanted a pirate cake so we looked online and found a good one. It didn't say in the demo that it needed cinder blocks to hold the thing together! It's a good thing we took a picture when we did...for it was soon to be shipwrecked! It split right in two from the weight of the cake. It still looked pretty cool and Chase thought it was better that way. He's so good to see the positive. If a toy gets broken he still plays with it and says, "It's like a new toy because it's different now!" If we could all be like that in life.

Splash pad fun.....I'm going to miss those outings when there is snow on the ground!

I'm not sure where Sadie gets her skin and hair color??? I'm not complaining....she's so beautiful. But I'm sure I'm just bias!

Andrea's wedding day was beautiful. It was fun to dress up and have a PARTY!

She finally smiled but my "look at the camera" finger got in the way....ya know how that goes:)

This one was due for nappy time!
Brock and Dan did a carpet job in New Mexico....and we tagged along. It was so good to see Nicole and the kiddos. There wasn't much to do in the hotel but we kept ourselves entertained. The front desk guy never wants to see the likes of us AGAIN! Many a lifted eyebrow in our direction......."What? These aren't our kids!"As you can see....we went to Chuck-e-cheese (not sure how to spell his name) Anyway.....Marriner thought he was in a cheesy heaven taking a picture with a big smiling mouse!

Nicole REALLY wanted a picture with Chuck-e-cheese.....just too shy to ask him I guess!
We had ever-so-much-fun jumping on the hotel beds. I tried to get action shots...and the only one who didn't get much air was Sadie. I love to see her "jump". Let's just say there is a BIG prep for a tiny little takeoff!

Kissing on a purple swing....could life GET any better!? This last shot is at a vintage cupcake shop in Ogden. The atmosphere AND the cupcakes are to die for!
